Photo Shoot

A few months ago I found someone to take pictures of Macks for me. I figured that I should probably get some real pictures taken of her to put on the wall and all that fun stuff. Well I set up a time and place and had all of the outfits read, I was so excited and had so many ideas of what we were going to do with the finished pictures. Well we got to the the site where I wanted them taken and the lady started taking pictures, five minutes in to the session and I was already frustrated and disappointed. She was so busy trying to pose Macks that she was missing all of the super cute candid pictures, and not only that she kept stopping the session to look at the pictures she had taken to see if she had some good ones. Now I know that I am not a photographer or anything but I feel like I know a little about being a good one. For starters I know that when you are taking pictures of little kids who move around a lot you need to be constantly taking pictures, and you might not be able to get them to sit still so get as many pictures on the go as you can. And secondly you need to to be always taking pictures  of your subject the whole session, it doesn't matter if you are shooting a kid or an adult or whoever, you can always go home and look at the pictures and decide if you like them. The more you take the more you have to choose from. Thirdly; don't waste your clients time by spending more then half of the session looking at the camera to see if you have a good picture. And Lastly; Make sure that you know what colors go together. Don't try taking pictures with a water fall background in a light colored outfit, obviously they wont show up and the pictures will turn out horrible. Oh, and how about you give your client more than 13 pictures from an hour session. Yeah, that was a big waste of time.

Okay my rant is over, I did get 13 pictures out of this whole fiasco and I do like some of them so I will let you guys decide if it was worth my time or not! :)

This is the only picture she got of Macks in her BYU jersey :(

Family Date Night

Well one weekend during the summer we didn't feel like cooking and just wanted to get out of the house so we decided to go have a family outing. We went to Miner's Cafe in Stockton and had lunch/dinner it was really good. They even have Brigham's Rootbeer on tap, it was so cool. After we ate we decided to go to Macey's and have some ice cream. It was such a good night out with my cute little family. I love them so much and enjoy spending my time with them.

Idaho and Ohio

We had quite the summer. We did a lot of traveling and visiting family.

Our first road trip was up to Idaho Falls for John's brothers wedding. It was such a fun little trip. I will say that it is a lot more work to set up for a wedding than it is to be the ones getting married. I felt like the weekend went by so fast because we were always doing something. It definitely was a good time and the wedding turned out so good. We only got one good picture from that weekend and it is of the three of us at the Idaho Falls Temple.

Our next road trip was over to Ohio. We decided to drive the because it was going to be cheaper. That was a big mistake, for the record we will never do that again we will spend the extra money to fly where ever we decide to go that will take more then 10 hours. Anyways, we had a good time and got to see lots of family and do fun things, and John got to meet all of my Mom's family. I was a lot better about taking pictures this trip. So here are a few.

We were able to borrow forward facing car seat from my Mom's cousin. Macks was very excited to be able to see everything again.

We don't take enough pictures of just us. I sure do love this guy!

Macks wanted more pictures, but Dad was more than done

Super baby!!!

After being at Cedar Point for a day we were worn out and tired

We went to the Merry-Go-Round Museum in Sandusky, Ohio

Macks had so much fun in the Merry-Go-Round until the music started and it started moving.
(it was definitely not a slow one)

Family

Let me just start out by saying that I love my Family so much. My Daughter..let me just tell you, she reminds me every single day that no matter how much we have to get done that day, that just sitting reading a book is good enough, or just playing with toys or even learning is something we shouldn't take for granted. She is always reminding me what is important in life. She helps me to take a step back and look at the little things.

Now lets not forget about, my husband is the most amazing person and has helped me grow more than I could have ever hoped for. He may not be the most Romantic guy out there, but he makes up for it by being a totally amazing person. He knows what I need even before I know that I need it. But when I insist that I don't he just sits back and lets me figure things out for myself , and when I finally come to the conclusion that he knew I would, he never says I told you so. he just says I Love You and we move on.

So now for the venting part of my blog. First off, I am not the type of person who likes drama. I actually try to stay as far away from it as I can and if there is drama I am the first person to try and play peacemaker.  I am not quiet sure I will actually post this, but I just need somewhere to put my feelings. First off, my husband was right, I need to take a facebook fast. There have been a lot of things going on with my Family this past year and it has been really hard on everyone. I thought that I was handling it pretty well. But today I decided to go browsing Facebook, Bad Idea, There was a post from someone bashing someone in my family, I wanted to say something but I decided that it would be best not too, so I decided to hide the post so I couldn't see it. So I continue scrolling down and wouldn't you know it, someone has decided to share this post that I was trying so hard to ignore, and not only that people (Family) started posting comments about not just the person in the previous post but about more of my family members. That is where I could not take it anymore, I went off on one of the post and told everybody to mind their own business. I am sick of Facebook being the place where everybody does there dirty work because they are not man enough to say it to the persons face so they go spreading things all over the internet about how someone is such a bad person. I am sorry people you DO NOT know what is going on with my Family, there are always two sides to every story and you my friends are only getting one side. But you don't really want to hear both sides so you will just bash the other side.Let me make it clear that I don't condone either part of the story and it is frustrating the things that have happened but I love both of my parents so much and that will never change. I just wish people would use social media for good instead of using it to spread negativity. The world doesn't need any more negativity.
Anyways, so that is my vent about why I am taking a facebook fast. I love all of my family and I don't really feel like saying something that is going to make things bad between anyone so I figure staying away from facebook is probably the best thing to do. Wish me luck.

You want to hear the funny part....John told me that I should take a facebook fast so that I wouldn't have to deal with any of this. Man he was sure right. Maybe I should start listening to my husband when he suggests something. :)

Well Just because i haven't posted anything for a while I will add some pictures of my Amazing little family!!!

California!!

The Monday after Macks' Birthday party we went to Oceanside, California to do some cleaning on some of the Condos. It was a great little vacation, John was able to relax and just watch Macks while I did some cleaning. We didn't take to many pictures but we did take lots of video! Macks didn't like the water at first but she loved it after a while, and she loved playing in the sand!
