Happy Girl

So the past few days the weather has been so nice so Macks and I have been spending a few minutes outside each day. Well she loves being outside and no matter what I can never get her to come inside, she just loves playing around. So today the weather was so nice Macks and I went out in the front yard to play and I decided to take my camera to capture some of her joy! Side note: my camera makes me so mad at times, it takes a good 30 seconds to turn on and about the same amount of time to save the picture so I have a hard time getting her really cute faces or poses, I have to do a lot of asking her to recreate something she just did and let me tell you it is not easy. :/ So these are what I got.
Just remember this,
Amazing Weather = A Very Happy Girl

Chalk is probably one of her favorite things

Macks showing me how she can lay down in the grass
(she was nervous to put her head down at first)

Chillin' in the grass
(doesn't the grass look so amazing? I think it does)

Daddy trying to get a smile

Macks sometimes refuses to look at the camera

Babymoon

Last weekend John and I had the opportunity to get away for a whole day! For my birthday last year I got a couple gift cards to Anniversary Inn for a little getaway, so per the Dr's orders we decided to finally use them. It was a great day, we went to Dinner at Olive Garden (our Valentines Day tradition) and then John took me to our spot up on the mountain above The Capital (Where he proposed) unfortunately I don't know how much longer it will be there, they keep putting in houses. :( Then we went and checked in at the Inn. It was wonderful to just relax and do nothing all night, we didn't even have to worry about Macks waking us up at the butt crack of dawn! After a nice relaxing Saturday morning were we pretty much just vegged and took our time getting ready (That never happens anymore) we checked out and went to lunch at Moochies (John's favorite philly cheese steak place in Salt Lake) and then we went and got my ring cleaned and picked up Macks from John's parents. But all I can say is that I had a great relaxing weekend, I definitely recommend a Babymoon to anyone getting ready to have a kid, especially if you already have a kid, it is absolutely amazing!!! So I didn't take many pictures but I did take a few from our spot on the mountain.

Kisses!!!

I sure do love this guy!!!

Look, I got him to smile!!!

Valentines Day

Well, John and I celebrate Valentines Day in March so things aren't so expensive, but that didn't stop me from dressing Macks up and taking some fun pictures.

Here is my cute little Valentine!!!

The Valentine we sent to Daddy

 And her Facebook Valentine

Sledding

While we were in Springville spending Christmas with John's Family it snowed quite a bit so we decided to go sledding....well there weren't many hills so the two little ones went sledding and we took pictures. Enjoy

Macks wanted to go down all by herself

She had so much fun and was so good at holding on

She just had to go down with everybody!

She was cold but didn't not want to stop

Macks and her cousin Conner went down together and had a blast

She wanted to go down face first like everyone else

Christmas

So for those of you who don't know John, he is the biggest BYU fan. So I thought it only fitting to have a BYU Christmas tree this year. I thought it turned out pretty well. Sorry you can't see all the fun ornaments but they were super cute from little snowmen that had a big "Y" on their sweaters to little footballs.

This describes our home to a T.
"We are BYU"

My SIL Sarah had my nephew Blake help do some of the Christmas cooking and I thought that it looked like so much fun and I wanted to try it out with Macks so we gave it a shot. And I was right it was great fun Macks loved taking the wrappers off all of the kisses and we only had to tell her once not to eat them!

She was having so much fun telling Daddy all about her day while still working hard

We tried to see Santa again this year but Macks was not having it this time around. Which super surprised me because she had been obsessed with Santa since the beginning of December. Everywhere we went if she saw someone with a beard she thought it was Santa. So this is the only picture we got of her giving Santa a high five!

Here are our Family Christmas Pictures!

Halloween

This year for Halloween we decided to dress Macks up as Tinkerbell. (She absolutely loves Tinkerbell)
We decided to take her to our Churches Trunk-or-Treat and see how she did. So John stayed at our car and handed out treats while Macks and I walked around all of the cars and talked to everybody (if you don't know Macks she is the biggest social butterfly, I am serious we make new friends where ever we go and everybody loves her.) she even tried saying her own version of trick-or-treat it was so cute and everyone else thought so too, so we ended up with a boat load of candy and I am pretty sure we are still working on getting rid of it. Anyways here are a couple pictures of our cute little Tinkerbell.

Trying to take her wings off already!

So excited to go outside

We Have Grass

We have lived in our house for almost 3 years now and this past October we finally put grass in!
You may not understand how exciting this is, but let me try to explain a little. So our yard is not one of those yards were you move into the house and the yard is ready for you to do whatever you would like to it. We had boulders and hills and holes like none other. and to top all that off it was covered with weeds, and not the little weeds that are easy to take care of but the massive weeds that spread and intertwine with each other that make it impossible to find the roots and to top it all off they were the super poky weeds (you know the weeds that spew those nasty little stickers that stick to everything but mostly like to stab you in the bottom of your foot?) Well, that is what our front yard was like for the past 2 1/2 years so we finally decided to work on it and we finally got it enough done that we could put grass in the front yard! Let me tell you I am so excited. It started to warm up a little a couple weeks ago and I had to run some garbage out to the street before the garbage man came, and instead of having to walk all the way around the driveway I walked through the front yard (barefoot) and to the street and didn't step on one poky and it was the most amazing thing!!! So here are some transformation pictures from when we started putting the grass in until we finished!

Before we started laying the sod

John wasn't as excited about this as I was

We are getting there

Almost done

Only one row left

Last little corner

Macks telling us to hurry so she can play in the grass

And we're done!! It looks so much bigger with no weeds and lots of grass.

John's Birthday Week

For John's Birthday we had a super busy week. We had my brother in from NC and a wedding and a party. You would think that I would have taken a lot of pictures during this time right? Yeah well so did I, but apparently I am really bad at taking pictures. So I apologize for the lack of pictures in this post but you will just have to imagine the awesomeness that is our life!

For John's Birthday we took him out to
   Moochies! His favorite Philly Place

For his Party we had a Duck Dynasty Theme and he even got to use Samurai Swords to break his pinata!

Here are the two wedding pictures that I got
The Siblings and spouses, minus Megan (I am not sure why Megan isn't in it?) and Sarah and Blake, they couldn't make it out for the wedding. we sure missed them

Aunt Kara and Macks

We decided to have a sibling night while Ryan was visiting, we all went bowling and had lots of fun.

Jerad and Kara getting ready to throw down!!

Ryan really didn't want to take a picture!

Megan super excited about something

Aunt Kara and Macks (she sure does love her)

I had to make sure I got a couple picture of John and I we don't take enough pictures together anymore

John getting ready to bowl backwards

Ready for a backwards strike (I think it went in the gutter)

I sure do love my little family

I am not sure why I can't find the one picture that I know I took of the whole group of us after we went bowling but for some reason it is gone. But it was a pretty awesome picture!!
