Macks' Birthday Party!!

So for Macks party we (I) decided to do a Polka Dot theme. There was so much stuff on Pinterest that I had no idea where to begin or what to do. I didn't want to over do it but I wanted it to be almost perfect. Because lets be honest, there is no way to achieve perfect when it comes to trying new things.

So we had a nice little BBQ and John's parents house (our yard isn't done and you can't waste a perfect beautiful day outside) And we had some family come over to celebrate. It was a really good day. We have lots of video from the party on the new Camcorder that John bought for Macks birthday. I will try to figure out how to cut the videos down and put them on here for people to watch.

So here are some pictures of her party and her!!

I want to thank everyone who helped out with her party and making cake pops and those who were able to make it and give her such wonderful gifts, and also to those who  weren't able to make it but sent wonderful gifts. We love each and every one of you and are so grateful to have each of you in our lives.

My Baby is 1!!!

I still can't believe that my baby turned one this last week. Time has seriously gone by so fast. I still feel like it was yesterday that we went to the Hospital to get some monitoring and finding out that the next time we would be home, we would be taking Macks with us. :( Even though I miss her being little enough to cuddle and love on, I think I will miss the stage she is at now even more. She is quite the little adventurer. She loves running around the house grabbing things and has even started enjoying being outside. (The grass worried her for a while)

Let me give a little update on our little girl

  • She is now not just walking, she is pretty much running. (her balance still isn't great but she doesn't mind falling and getting back up)
  • She will no longer take a bottle at all (I guess she made it pretty easy for us, now the hard part will be taking her binki away :/)
  • She still loves her food, she can put away so much food and I don't know where it goes because I am pretty sure she probably weighs only 20 lbs. (we will find out at the Dr's today how much exactly)
  • She loves making up her own way of making noises. I think I might have a video of her doing all three of her "tricks" if I can only figure out how to load them on to the Blog.
  • She loves talking, but you still can't really understand her very well. Hopefully the next few weeks will get easier.
  • She can sign; More, Food, and All Done.
  • She loves giving kisses.
  • She has a very sassy personality already, if she wants something that you have or just in general she will let you know. She doesn't cry or scream she gives you a look and starts yelling at you. I am not sure what word she is yelling but it has got to be something.
  • She thinks that people are so funny. She can make friends anywhere we go. We can always count on people stopping to talk to her, and she loves all of the attention.

11 Months

Macks is now 11 months and is just getting so big. (well she is still on the petite side, but I think she is getting big)
Life is crazy around here, so this is going to be a quick update!!

Crazy hair during bath time!

She loves eating her sponge!

Playing in the sandbox!

Eating sand

Playing the piano with Grandma

New hair style

Happy St Patrick's Day!

Let me out!

Climbing on the slide

Loves being outside

Ready-Set-Go!!!!

Picnic Time

Mom, let me go play!

Happy Easter!!!

  • She learned to walk. Well she still kind of has a hard time but she is loving it!
  • She is talking more and more each day. She now says; Mama, Dada, Kitty, Papa, and a whole bunch of babble that we don't understand just yet.
  • She can sign Milk, More, Food, and All Done.
  • She can show people where her tongue is at, by sticking it out and playing with it. (it is the cutest thing)
  • She is now only drink 2 bottles a day. (Not because we took it away, but she just wont eat anymore than that, I guess taking the bottle away at her birthday will be easier than thought)
  • She loves playing outside. We went to the park by our house and she loved it. She even loved the slide. Or so we thought. We tried the slide at Grandma Warr's and Grandma Larsen's and She was terrified. :(
  • She is still unsure about grass and wont walk in it.
  • She has so much hair, I can kind of do cute things with it!! (Thanks to Shanna for experimenting!)
  • She still loves food!!! She will pretty much anything except peaches.

10 Months

I can't believe that in 2 months my baby is going to be 1. This is crazy!!!
Anyways, So this last month she has been a little less than her happy self. She has been getting her top teeth and they just do not want to come through. But other then her being a little fussy she has been so fun.

Happy Valentines Day!!

This is the best picture I could get with her in her cute outfit.
(John says she looks like she might be on something..she isn't I promise, she was just tired)

Loves waiting for Daddy

Loves playing with Daddy through the bathroom door

She can always get out of her clothes no matter what we put on her

9 Months

Macks is now 9 months. She is so much fun. We love her little (very big) personality.
Here are a few updates on her.

This is her "cheese" face

"Mom I want more food"

I love this little girl

"Look Mom I can stand and eat a cheeto at the same time"

"Mom there is a noodle up my nose"

"I want to be just like Daddy"

  • Her measurements at the Dr's today were 16.9lbs 15%, 27 in. (I think its more like 28 almost 29, the nurse had her leg at an angle)
  • She can now get anywhere that she wants without even thinking about it.
  • We got her a little push walker and she loves pushing it around the room. She loves trying to push through things that are in her way. :)
  • She will eat pretty much anything we give her, and if we don't give it to her she will try to take it.
  • She is very social and everyone loves her!!
  • She is attracted to shiny things (I apologize now to her future husband)
  • She will climb up on anything so that she can stand
  • She has gotten plenty of bumps and bruises from being a little to daring.

8 Months

Can you even believe that Macks is 8 months old already? I can't, I feel like it was just yesterday that we brought her home.
I know I pretty much say that about every month but this month she seems to have grown so much. She is all over the place and I am pretty sure she is finally getting bigger. ;)
Here is a little month in review...

  • Macks is a moving machine, she learned how to crawl the beginning of the month, and perfected it at the end.
  • She loves eating really people food. She wont eat her baby food if we are trying to eat dinner, she always has to have what we are having.
  • I thought she had learned how to use her voice last month but she proved me wrong. She learned how high her voice could go this month and it is very very high
  • She can sit up by herself, but it doesn't last long she is always on the move.
  • Her naps are all over the place with the Holiday gathering and such, so now that they are dying down I can't seem to get her to take more than a nap and a half during the day. which isn't good because she is not a very fun person to be around when she is tired.
  • She can hold her bottle by herself, but hasn't quit figured out that she has to sit still, she tries rolling over and drinking it while she is on her stomach.
  • She is starting to get heavy, well to me and John at least. She can finally wear 6-9mths regularly, I think I actually put away all of her 3-6 mths clothes!!!
  • She is starting to learn to pull herself up on things. Her bed being the favorite choice
  • She has enough hair on the top of her head to put a little pebbles ponytail. (but John hates it)
Here is what you all have been waiting for!!
