Okay, So obviously if you couldn't tell by the title this post is about our little girl!!!
Week 21: nothing exciting happened. I finally (I don't know if that is the right way to put it? but,) started gaining some weight. Up until just after Christmas I hadn't gained anything I have pretty much stayed the exact same weight at every Dr's appointment.
Week 22: This is the week all the exciting stuff started happening!!!
Well halfway through week 22 I woke up in the middle of the night to a nudge in my side, I had no idea what it was (but i was sure hoping it was Macks) so I put my hand there and felt another little nudge. So I hurried and grabbed John's hand and put it on my tummy. He was like what is going on. Then realized his hand was on my tummy so he was feeling for something. I felt another nudge and asked him if he felt it? he said "I felt something I thought it was just a muscle twitch" I told him I didn't think it was and we went back to sleep. Later after I had woken up and John had gone to work. I was thinking about what had happened and hoped the it wasn't just a dream. So I sent John a message asking him if it was real. He said yes but that he really didn't feel anything. So that kind of made me a little bummed :( But was still excited it was real. After that I was waiting for more to come but nothing happened for a couple more days.
Then, I started feeling little nudges in my lower tummy. I just thought it was gas bubbles or something because we all know (well at least those who have had kids) pregnant women have that a lot. But it kept coming back, and I had no gas. So I got super excited and every night I would start feeling her kick (or nudge) a lot so I would put John's hand on there to let him feel. But he could never feel anything. :(
Week 23: I started feeling Macks more and more. I thought it was great!!! I could actually tell that there was a little person growing inside me!!! But I felt really bad John still hadn't been able to feel it and I think he was getting a little sad because of it, which of course made me sad also. :( So I kept telling Macks that she needed to kick harder so that Daddy could feel her. Let me tell you that was a big mistake....We were watching TV and I had to go to the bathroom but just didn't want to get up. So I start feeling this little kick right on my bladder then another one that was a little harder and then a full blown karate kick. It hurt so bad. I just say ouch and John asks what was wrong. I tell him what happened. And he just laughs. He thinks it was so funny. He leans down and tells Macks good job. LOL But even after that he still couldn't feel her. So Sunday night we are laying down reading The Book of Mormon and she starts kicking so again I place John's hand on my tummy and he still cant feel it. At this point we are worried that he wont be able to feel it at all because of all the welding and stuff he has done with his hands. So I make a brilliant suggestion to have him put his head on my belly and see if that works. So he puts his head down and I start reading again. ( it was a little difficult to breath but i was hoping she would kick sooner rather then later ;) ) And just when I am thinking that she kicks. So I hurry and ask John if he felt that. He says something along the lines of that was a kick? then sits up and points to his temple and says it didn't feel like I expected. But of course he said it with a huge smile on his face. He next puts his hand on my belly and says I want to feel it with my hand. Then he feels a little nudge on one of his fingers and looks up questioningly and I nod and he gets so excited!!!
So I am happy to say that John has been able to feel Macks kick and he still finds it funny when she kicks me in the bladder!!
So these last few weeks have been great I still get sick every once in a while but I am hoping that it goes away soon. We go to the Dr's on Monday to get another ultra sound to find out the due date for sure. ( She was measuring small at our last appointment) We are so excited to be gaining a new addition to our family!! We are loving life and hoping that 2012 will bring a year of many blessings!!!
Pictures to come soon!!

OH that is so exciting!!! I can't wait till Jay can feel our baby. I feel the kicks all the time but I haven't even tried putting his hand on there yet- maybe I should have him try the head trick ;)
Fun post. You will be so happy that you recorded all of these memories.
I know I haven't regretted blogging, just because it makes it easy for me to go back and see when my babies reached different milestones.
