Weeks 24-30

Okay, so I am behind again. LOL I will do a quick update the things that I can remember from the last six weeks. (not much happened so it might be a little boring, but for those of you who like to know I will try really hard!!)

Week 24: We had another ultrasound to check see if Macks was growing at the right rate, because at our 20 week appointment she was measuring a week and a half smaller then what she should be. The Dr. said that she was growing great!!! Which is good because I was a little worried. I tend to worry a lot as of late. We were supposed to figure out our due date, which we had three at the time (May 9,12,19). But he never said anything about it just that she was growing good. So I guess that is good!!! I now just tell people that we are due anywhere between the 9th and the 19th. John however tells everyone that we are due the 15th. (being and engineer he like specifics so I will let him keep saying that!!) Well that's all for week 24. Oh wait I almost forgot we have pictures!!!! :)

She decided that she was going to be camera shy and face the floor!!!!

Here is her little leg!!!

I have a picture of her hand somewhere but my computer is hiding it from me!!!!

Weeks 25-27: For these weeks I don't really remember really much of anything that happened except for the horrible realization that I could no longer fit into any of my pre pregnancy jeans/dress pants/ skirts. :( it was a very sad time. Mostly because I was probably just very hormonal and emotional. I refused to go anywhere that I would have to dress up. but of course with coaching I had to dress up for our home games, so I would find the biggest pair of dress pants I had and find a long shirt so that you couldn't tell that I hadn't buttoned them. :/ That is when John finally broke down and decided we could go get some pregnant pants. So I looked around for some cheap ones ( i was not about to spend $70 on pants I would only be wearing for 3-4 months) But lucky us Ross has maternity clothes!!!! We bought 3 pair of jeans for $15 each. I thought we did pretty well!!!
She still loves to kick me in the bladder only her kicks are getting a lot stronger. John still thinks it hilarious!!

Week 28: So we had a Dr's appointment this week and we had to take our glucose test and get a Rhogam shot. I will start with the Rhogam shot. I have to get it because my blood type is Rh - and John's is Rh +. Everyone on the pregnancy forums that I am following talked about how bad it hurt and how big of a needle it was. I will admit that I didn't see the needle, but John did and said it really was big. But it didn't hurt at all. I mean i felt the pressure of it but I didn't think it was horrible. I guess its a good thing that I don't mind needle or shots.
Okay, for the glucose test. I have heard so many different opinions on this. Some say that it tastes horrible and some say that it just tastes like flat soda pop. My sister-in-law Sarah said that it didn't taste that bad just like sugary soda. and I would have to agree with her on it because I thought it tasted fine. (it kinda made me want and orange soda!) so at the Dr's the took my blood and told me they would get back to me with the results if they were abnormal or if they were normal we would just talk about it at my next appointment. So after the blood draw the Dr. came in to measure my stomach and listen to her heart beat. Well he said I was measuring 21" (which is good according to him) and as for the heart beat....well she decided to start going crazy and kicking the little wand every time he put it on my belly. :) John got to hear her kick. (i think he thought it was pretty cool, but he is not very excited to hear her or see her kick he just wants to hold her)
The Dr. said it was normal for babies to be all wired after we drink the glucola. So he took that as a good sign!!!
Two days after the appointment I got a call from the nurse saying that my blood test results were in. I figured I knew what they were going to say since they were calling me i braced myself for the worst. But to my surprise she said that my sugar levels weren't high they were actually low. I think she said like 59. So she told me to lay off sugar foods and make sure that  I am eating like every 2 hours. (This is not something I wanted to hear. I have been doing so good not to gain to much weight and now they were telling me to eat more often. But John reassured me that just because I have to eat more often doesn't mean I have to eat more!!)

Week 29
I am also starting to feel more pregnant and less fat!!!

Week 30: We had another Dr. appointment this week (which means I now see him every 2 weeks!!) it was pretty normal i guess. I mean we went in had a pee test, got weighed, got blood pressure and heart rate, listened to babies heart beat and got measured. Well heart rate and blood pressure are great, I lost a lb. since my last visit, babies heart rate is good and strong, belly measuring 28" Doc says it is small but that is most likely because I have such a long torso. but next visit if it is still small he wants to do another ultrasound just to make sure everything is good.....Yeah that's not gonna worry a mom to be that the Dr. thinks she is measuring small. But the last few days I feel like my belly has grown a ton. so next time I will make sure that I eat a lot so that my belly isn't to small!!! :) Well life is going great. We are excited for Macks to get here.
Oh my goodness I almost forgot the best part about week 30. So Saturday night John and I were laying i n bed listening to The Hunger Games, and Macks was going crazy and kicking all over the place. I kept telling John to look but then she would stop. So he would look away and she would kick again. Finally I told him to just sit there and watch. So he did a minute or so later she moved alright. It definitely wasn't a kick she was doing a summer salt or something and you could see her move from the upper part of my tummy to the lower part of my tummy. John had this strange expression on his face and his eyes were huge. I thought he would think it the coolest thing yet, but no he just turned back to playing solitaire on my phone and said, "that was creepy I don't want to see that again. It reminds me of the show Alien were the alien is coming out of her stomach." I just laughed. Because at first he couldn't think of the movie and the only movie i could think of that had something to do with a belly moving was twilight and I was so excited, but then remembered that he hasn't seen it. But he said that he didn't want to think of our little girl like that!!!
Well that is all for this post I will be better I promise....okay well I hope I can be better no promises!!!!

Here I am at 30 weeks!!!!

Yay!! I love reading about your pregnancy.

Don't worry about Macks measuring small. They said that about Blake too. It is good that they are being extra safe...and she will be just fine! Your body seems to be doing a great job taking care of her! Blake is still little compared to the other babies...but he is healthy and that is all that matters! :)

It still sounds like a long time but you are SO close!! Can't wait to see Baby Macks!
